Blueberry Festival
Our 2nd annual Blueberry Festival will be held on July 19th, with a raindate of July 26th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Our festival will include pick-your-own blueberries, games,crafts and activities for children, storytime for kids, recipe class and cooking demonstration with samples to taste, sugarhouse tours and classes, hayrides, food, live music, and more!
Free admission. Rain date the following Saturday. Our Blueberry Festival is held annually on the 3rd Saturday of July right when our early variety of blueberries are peaked. PYO blueberries will be available every Saturday through September. Come on over for a great family day! Visit this page just before the festival for a detailed schedule of events for the day.


Maple Sugaring Classes and Tours
Sweet Wind Farm is the perfect place to take your group or family to an educational outing. Our class/tour consists of viewing tapped trees (during syrup season only), a guided tour of the sugarhouse facility and equipment, possibly watching us boil sap and sniff the heavenly smell of syrup steaming,  a narrated slide show of the sugaring process, a history of sugaring and other fascinating facts about maple will be discussed. Maple syrup and sugar samples given during class. Sap samples given out when available.Presentation material will be based on age of the participants, great class for ages 3 - 99! For the younger set, a picture book will be read aloud also. The class lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours, and participants will take home a "Maple Facts" sheet, & a sample of maple sugar candy. Children  will also receive a coloring page, crossword and word search puzzles. This class may be scheduled at any time of the year, although viewing tapped trees and seeing us boil sap can only be done during syrup season, Feb. - April. Boiling at the time of your visit depends on sap flow and weather. Please wear boots if you wish to view tapped trees!
FEE Ages 5 and up, $5.00 each. For school groups, homeschool groups, and scouts: Teachers, parents, and chaperones are free. Siblings under 5 free. Family max of $10.00. A minimum of $40.00 to schedule a class. Call or email to schedule at (860) 653-2038,

Note: We are now taking reservations for your group to visit our farm for the 2008 season. Please call or email with your date and time request. If you book by email, we must have a contact person with phone number. We do not offer scheduled classes on Sunday.

Open House Maple Days
Whenever we are boiling sap during syrup season, typically mid-February through beginning of April, we have "Open House" times, where visitors are welcome to come in and watch us boil sap. You may ask questions, and see our sugarhouse, and drink in of the sweet smell of maple floating in the air. Held on most Saturdays during syrup season and whenever we are boiling while there is no class schedueled , but you may call ahead for boiling times,since it depends on the sap flow and weather each day. Free admission.

3rd Annual Maple Festival
Saturday March 14th, 2009, from 10 - 4 .Featuring maple syrup and sugar making demonstrations, narrated slide show, video, storytime for kids, sugarhouse tours, recipe class, food, free coffee and syrup samples, tree tapping demonstration, sugar-on-snow, and more! Learn how maple syrup and sugar is made at our farm. Various maple products will be for sale. A detailed schedule of events for the day will be posted prior to the event. A fun and educational day out for you and your family! Free admission.

Pumpkin Festival
Our third annual Pumpkin Festival will take place on the last Saturday in September, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. Featuring a pumpkin painting contest, games for all ages, crafts, activites, sugarhouse tours, hay rides, storytime for kids, recipe class, food, live music, and more! Visit our farm to find your perfect pumpkin to take home, gourds and other Fall decorations too. Our farmstand will be open during this event as well, with fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, herbs, maple syrup and sugar, jams and jellies, and more! Last year's event was a lot of fun for our visitors. Come on over!   Free admission.


Hayrides on Saturdays in October

During the month of October we will offer hayrides to groups on Saturdays. For $5.00 per person it will include a pumpkin to take home, a sugarhouse tour, and refreshments afterwards. Please call ahead to make reservations with us at (860) 653-2038
